Here is the adoption photo of little Ann Rossi with new owners Dan and Rejean. They brought her a cozy winter sweater to keep her comfy on the ride home, and have everything she'll need to be a spoiled lovely lady in her new home. So glad for a couple happy to adopt an older rescue!! What a wonderful new beginning!! Adopted 1/11/25

Ann with Alikat

We had something of a Christmas miracle for one of our longest resident cats last week. Alikat originally came to us as a temporary hold for an owner, with the intention she would reclaim her cat when possible, however that never became an option. We adopted Ali into a home once, but she was a very flighty and shy cat in that home, escaping to the basement and hiding in the rafters. So Ali came back, and it looked like she might always be with us. But when Ann met her on an adoption visit with her daughter, she couldn't get this sweet older cat out of her mind. And last week, after the passing of Ann's senior dog, Ann decided to adopt Ali! Reports from home are WONDERFUL! Ann and her husband like the name Ali so will use that, and they say she is such a friendly cat in their home! It just goes to show that there is a home for every rescue, we just need to make the connections! We are happy for this new beginning for one of our longest resident rescues!! Huge holiday thanks to Ann and her husband Joachim!! Adopted 12/25/24

Jeff and Michele with Lady

Lucky Lady!! Our adorable rescue named Lady has found her forever home, and just in time to spend Christmas with her new family!! Jeff and Michele came to meet her and fell in love right away. They have an older Mastiff at home, so there's one more introduction to go. But we expect that these two friendly, calm dogs will be thrilled to have a new friend. There may be more photos soon from home, but for now we'll just celebrate a new beginning for Lady!! Adopted 12/20/24

Jessica, Kylee, & Jacob with Frosty

It's celebration time for Frosty's adoption! Frosty has been on an epic foster home placement that began the end of December last year. Jessica and daughter Kylee and son Jacob are so happy to finalize this adoption, and make Frosty an official member of their family. This little dog was found outside Harding's grocery almost one year ago, and has happily found a comfortable life and a forever family!! An adoption story to celebrate!! Adopted 12/15/24

Delaney and Ann with Nugget and Kirby

More happy news for Dogtown felines! Delaney and her mom, Ann, came today to meet and adopt Nugget and Kirby!! These are the two youngest kitten/cats we had at Dogtown. Recently neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, all we were waiting on was their forever homes. Unexpectedly, they both received their perfect next chapter today!! Delaney has a cat at home who needed some companionship, so today he will meet his new friends!! So glad to have a home for two more Dogtown Rescues!! Adopted 12/7/24

WooHoo!! Spectacularly happy to share adoption news for one of our cats!! Oreo is moving to his forever home with John, and this is truly worth celebrating. Oreo is a wonderful cat and he will be so lucky to find himself in a home with John and another feline friend!! We have amazing cats, as well as dogs, looking for new families. It's so good to be able to find one of these friends a forever home!! Thank you, John, for reaching out to meet and adopt Oreo!! Adopted 12.6/24

Luke, Cora, Lindsey, & Eric with Tulsa

Finally it seems our incredible rescue Tulsa has found her forever family!! She has been with us since early August, discovered just sitting on our doorstep waiting for us to return to the office. She's such an incredible dog that I thought she would be adopted immediately, but she never was chosen... until today! It must be that this is her perfect family and she just needed to wait for them to discover her!! Fingers crossed because there are two cats and a Golden Retriever at home who need to be fine with her arrival, but it certainly seems like this is the break Tulsa has been waiting for. Wonderful new family, left to right, are Luke (major inspiration for this decision) Cora and parents Lindsey and Eric. Huge thanks to a family willing to add a rescue to their home!!! Chloe and Family

We had a special adoption for our little rescue named Chloe. She gained not just new parents, but also a set of godparents!! Jonathan and Jeannette, on the left, adopted Chloe. And Ladeen and Fred are the"godparents" for this lucky little dog. Fred is the talented artist who created the Dogtown Resort sign, and we've been friends for many years. Fred and Ladeen own a small rescue dog who will be a great friend for Chloe. The two dogs will move from house to house when owners take vacations away from their dogs. Celebration day!! Oreo with Katelyn

Today was a wonderful day for Oreo, a majestic cat who has a wonderful calm manner. He came to Dogtown as a kitten three years ago, and was adopted, but sadly his family faced severe medical challenges and needed to return him to us this summer. Katelyn, with her husband Nick and two young sons, visited yesterday to meet adoptable dogs. But the boys were captivated by our cats. Thankfully for Oreo, this family has decided to adopt Oreo and provide him with a home again!! So happy for this new chapter!! Adopted 1/17/24
